In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we're introducing you to some of Texas' incredible Latina entrepreneurs. Meet Big Littles Designs!
EM: Custom acrylic, wood and paper arts.
EM: My journey began after I had my son in June of 2018. It was September; my maternity leave had ended and I remember my first day back like it was yesterday. I cried every time anyone asked how my son was doing. It was at that moment that I knew I could do something to work from home and be with my little. In the beginning, I was inspired to make mommy and me shirts so I thought Big and Littles designs would be such a perfect name. Little did I know I was going to be on a journey to make so many other beautiful creations. One night while I was up breastfeeding, I remember making a logo and being determined that no matter how long it took it was going to be my goal to make my business my main source of income. Fast forward to April of 2020 and my job at the time was very stressful and overwhelming. I told my husband I was done and it was time to focus on my business. It has been amazing being able to work while having my son at home and caring for him while still making an income.
EM: My parents inspire me to always be the best I can be and always stay positive.
EM: I would love to start a program to help other moms take a leap of faith and start a business.
